Honda Livo India Launch: Price, Specs, Features, Details

Aiming to launch 15 new products this year in India, country’s second largest two wheeler manufacturer, HMSI – Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India announced the launch of a new 110 cc motorcycle today.

The 100-110 cc segment sees the most sales in Indian auto industry. The latest product from the garage of HMSI is for this segment only. Named Honda Livo, this is a stylish 110 cc motorcycle built, designed and engineered for the commuter segment.

Design

Speaking to the media at today’s launch, Honda India said that the highlight of Livo is its design. Two words which describe the new Honda Livo are – Stylish and Aerodynamic – YS Guleria, vice president, sales & marketing at HMSI. Livo is available in four colour options – Athletic Blue Metallic, Black, Pearl Amazing White and Sunset Brown Metallic.

In the front, Livo features sharp headlight design with detailed airducts which are created because of the plastic cowls attached on the fuel tank. You also have the trendy rear view mirrors which are body coloured.

The side profile is highlighted by the slim tank design with a 3D Honda Wings logo, long seat, all black engine with Honda badge in red, rear shock absorbers painted in red, exhaust muffler in two piece finish (matte and chrome) and six spoke black alloys. Rear gets a freshly designed tail lamp with chunky grab rail finished in shiny black paint.

Specs

Weighing 111 kgs, the new Honda Livo gets a 8.5 litre fuel tank. In dimensions, new Honda Livo is 2020 mm long, 746 mm wide, and 1099 mm tall. Its wheelbase of 1285 mm is one of the longest in the segment, while ground clearance of 180 mm can easily counter any kind of roads on offer in India.

Features

Honda Livo is available with disc brakes (only front) and self start. The disc brake variant gets 240 mm disc in the front and 130 mm drum in the rear. The non-disc brake variant gets 130 mm drum brakes in both front and rear. Front and rear gets tubeless 80/100 18 inch rubber.

Built on a diamond frame, front suspension is in the form of telescopic fork while rear gets spring loaded hydraulic setup. Battery is a 12 Volt MF battery which requires very less maintenance.

Other features on board new Honda Livo includes puncture protection, large instrument dials, viscous air filter, 3 step adjustable rear suspension, and clear glass headlamps.

Engine and Transmission

Powering the new Honda Livo is a 110 cc single cylinder engine which is also seen on the Twister. This engine delivers 8.25 hp at 7500 rpm and 8.63 Nm torque at 5500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 4 speed gearbox. HMSI has not revealed official mileage figure, but we expect the Livo to deliver at least 60 kmpl, just like other HMSI products.

Top speed of Honda Livo is 86 kmph.
