Honda Mobilio MPV reaches malls across India
India today reports 15 car owners for every 1000 people. While that number is small, it still marks remarkable improvement and growth for Indian car buyers. A few years earlier, footfalls at dealerships were hard to come by, but all that has changed with a younger India that has jobs. In targeting them, manufacturers have stepped out of showrooms and into venues with high footfalls.
In catering to growing new Honda City sales and positive Amaze sales, the automaker has incresaed production. With its Tapukara plant functional, Honda is also making way for new jobs at its plant. Mobilio MPV will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, and the new gen Jazz premium hatchback too will be back in the current financial year. Honda hopes to to fuel Indian MPV segment growth with Mobilio and is targeting sedan and SUV buyers too.
Mobilio enjoys a strong market share in Indonesia reporting 28.6% sales growth from April to May 2014. Honda Mobilio RS launch is scheduled for 19th June in Indonesia and will take on the Maruti Ertiga Sporty here.
