Honda Mobilio spied on production line at Greater Noida plant

Honda Mobilio MPV launch is scheduled to take place in the coming months. To be launched before Diwali festive season begins, new spy shot of Honda Mobilio has surfaced online, confirming that Honda has begun production of first batch of Mobilio MPVs in India.

Honda Mobilio spied on production line at Greater Noida plantBased on the Brio, Amaze platform, new Honda Mobilio will compete with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. To be produced from Honda’s Greater Noida plant, Mobilio will be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options, the same one’s which are seen on-board the new City. For petrol, it will be the 1.5l iVTEC which delivers 118 PS power @ 6600 rpm and 146 Nm torque @ 4800 rpm, while for diesel, it will be 1.5l iDTEC, delivering 100 PS @ 3600 rpm and 200 Nm torque @ 1750.

To feature three row seating for 7, the new Mobilio MPV is longer than Ertiga, but is also shorter and narrower than it’s main rival. As far as price of the car is concerned, we already know that it will be very much the same as Ertiga’s in order to remain competitive. Honda Mobilio price is expected to be in the Rs 6.1 to Rs 8.5 lakhs.

The petrol version is expected to deliver about 17 kmpl, while the diesel Mobilio might deliver best in class mileage of 23+ kmpl. Both these figures are better than Maruti’s Ertiga.
