Honda Mobilio RS is a sporty looking variant of the MPV. It will be offered with the same engine option of 1.5l iVTEC petrol generating 116.3 bhp power and 146 Nm torque. Once launched, the Mobilio RS will compete with Suzuki Ertiga Sporty, which is already on offer in Indonesia.
Currently, Honda Mobilio is offered in four trims in Indonesia –
1. Mobilio Type S M/T Rp. 159,500,000 (INR 8,08,269)
2. Mobilio Type E M/T Rp. 179,000,000 (INR 9,07,086)
3. Mobilio Type E CVT Rp. 189,500,000 (INR 9,60,238)
4. Mobilio Type E CVT Prestige Rp. 198,000,000 (INR 10,03,309)
The new Mobilio RS will complement the above variants and will be offered as top of the line variant.
As far as modifications on offer are concerned, the RS Mobilio variant will come with aerokit, which will complement the exteriors of the car – front bumper, rear bumper and side skirt. The chrome grille too is slightly different (twin slat) and so is the fog light encasing. From the leaked spy shot, it seems that LED DRLs are also on offer along with new stylish alloys. Tyre size remains the same at 185/65 R15. Interiors too are modified to match the aggressive exterior look.
More details, and price will be revealed at the launch on 19th June.
As far as India launch is concerned, Honda is yet to launch the Mobilio here. Once it is launched in India (July 2014), Honda plans on gauging the market and then take a call on launching the Mobilio RS in India.
