Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India safe riding tips for 2000 kids

33rd India International Trade Fair began at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on 14 November 2013 wherein Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. conducted road safety activities along with Delhi Traffic Police.Via quiz programs, painting competitions and other promotional activities, the company trained a total of 3200 adults and over 2000 kids on various aspects of road safety.


For adult visitors at IITF, Honda demonstrated the correct riding posture while they also conducted slow riding contests. Children between the ages of 5-6 years were involved in various fun activities such as interactive games, painting competitions and role plays while Honda trained children on road safety measures on a Honda CRF 50 model which was specially brought into the country from Japan for younger children to understand the vital importance of riding safely.

Children in the age group of 9-12 years got to ride in a protected road environment specially designed at the venue while those above the age of 16 years were guided by a riding trainer and educated over 100 possible riding dangers on the road.

Vice president- Sales & Marketing, Mr. Yadvinder S. Guleria said, “For over a decade, Honda in India has promoted the joy of riding, while inculcating a sense of road safety and good riding habits amongst road users. We have been participating at India International Trade Fair for the last 7 years as it is an apt platform for us to reach out to the maximum number of people to spread Road-safety awareness. We have received an overwhelming response this year as well and successfully trained over 3200 adults and 2000 kids on importance of safety riding this year. This initiative is in line with our commitment to road safety and fits with our approach to ‘Catch them young’ by educating children.”
