Honda One Make Race Round 3 at BIC
Buddh International Circuit, over the past weekend was a hub of motoring enthusiasts. Manufacturers of two and four wheelers and specially made racing vehicles were present to test their vehicles and among them was Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd (HMSI).
Honda One Make Race provided a platform for Fun Riding Experience to all participants and visitors at the venue, while those present could also get a chance to book any of the Honda two wheelers in attendance or could take a test ride on the CBR 150R/250R. All Honda CBR owners present got a chance to associate and liaison each other while a competition in the CBR 250R Team Category was also held wherein 20 such performance bikes were leased out to teams who were registered at FMSCI. These bikes could be enhanced to improve performance though engine, chassis and tyres had to remain untouched. The company also offered Original Spare Parts to the tune of INR 10,000 and a new set of tyres per round. 3 winners of the One Make Race received cash prizes of INR 7,500, 5,000 and 2,500 respectively.
Honda Safety Promotion is taken seriously and the company has adopted two Traffic Training Parks at Jaipur and New Delhi to promote road safety. Skilled instructors will teach children and adults alike, the various aspects of safe driving and vehicle handling free of cost.

Noida, September 15 , 2013: For the 6th consecutive year, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), the only Honda in India is participating in the ‘MMSC – FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2013’ held for the first time at Buddh International Circuit (BIC) Noida, from 13th – 15th September, 2013.
Popularly known as the ‘Honda One Make Race,’ the activity continues to provide ‘Fun Riding Experience’ to all participants as well as spectators in a safe and controlled environment. All customers booking any new Honda 2 wheeler or taking test ride of CBR 150R/250R were given a free chance to witness the race at BIC. HMSI also organized a unique customer engagement activity for its Honda CBR 250R & CBR 150R customers. Connecting HMSI’s CBR owners with the Honda One Make Race, group rides were flagged off from various Honda dealerships to BIC. This activity saw a tremendous response from over 400 CBR customers. Enthusiasts got an opportunity to engage and network with other fellow CBR owners and witness the final day of the race.
Thrilling competition in CBR 250R Team Category
‘Honda One Make Race’ at Buddh International Circuit tested the rider capabilities. Around 20 CBR 250R performance bikes are leased to teams registered at FMSCI. Excluding the engine, chassis and tires of CBR 250R, any other modifications may be made to enhance performance of vehicle. Honda will further support participating teams with Original Spare parts worth Rs. 10,000 and new set of tyres every round. These vehicles are modified with imported HRC performance kits to provide an exhilarating output.
Over and above ‘Honda One Make Race 2013’, Honda also provided 9 CBR 150R with original spares support on lease for Group C ‘National Motorcycle Racing Championship’ to 4 teams.
Honda One Make Race, Round 3 overview
Over 17 expert riders from 6 teams participated in Round 3 of Honda One Make Race in the Team Championship for CBR 250R race. Participants were judged, of which Top 3 racers were awarded attractive cash prizes (1st – Rs. 7500, 2nd – Rs. 5000, 3rd – Rs. 2500).
Honda’s initiatives for ‘Safety Promotion’
Safety is an issue very close to Honda’s heart. Till date, Honda has engaged around 6000 biking enthusiasts, journalists and spectators through various Fun, Safety riding and Gymkhana activities. Scheduled to be held during Round 3 of Honda One Make Race, 2013 as well, these activities give visitors a unique opportunity to get tips on safe riding from Safety Riding Instructors. Honda spreads its belief that fun-biking can also be safe.
Participants and spectators alike enjoyed the slow riding (an activity that aims at enhancing bike balance), and the highly popular Gymkhana activities (ka ‘fun’ riding activity for enhancing rider maneuverability & road-sense) at Round 3 of Honda One Make Race, 2013. Many kids participated in the learning session of safety riding with CRF-50 model which is specially designed to provide experience and education on two-wheeler & road safety.
Aiding first time riders with overall balance, Honda will set up its riding trainers which simulate various traffic, road and weather conditions so that riders can develop a healthy road sense. Currently, all 685 Honda dealerships are equipped with unique riding trainers.
As a responsible corporate, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has set a new landmark in promotion of road safety and adopted 2 Traffic Training Parks at Jaipur & New Delhi in association with respective State Governments. At the Traffic Training Park, Honda promotes Road Safety in a specially designed, protected environment. Honda’s skilled safety instructors will daily engage all age groups starting from as young as 5 years young children to adults with a special focus on new and female riders free of cost. In the coming future, HMSI will adopt more traffic training parks in other states as well.
Participation in Asia Dream Cup
To promote riders and develop riding skills Honda Motor Company, Japan initiated in the year 2012 with Asia Dream Cup Motorcycle Racing Championship. Riders will compete for top spot on CBR250R. In this Championship, every Honda Company within Asia is sponsoring 2 riders each to participate in Dream Cup. Inline with the same, HMSI is also sponsoring 3 riders (Mr. Sumit Locus Toppo & Mr. Prabhu Arunagiri and Mr. Sarath Kumar) to participate in the championship. Total 6 rounds are to be conducted in Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Japan and Qatar.
