Natural calamities that struck Japan followed by rampant floods in Thailand combined have had an adverse effect on supply of spares and components to Honda Siel Cars India. This has caused tremendous production restraints which have in turn affect sales during the month of December.
Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President for Marketing and sales at Honda Siel Cars India has said that production for the month of December had to be reduced due to shortage of spare parts and components coming into the country from Thailand. The severe floods which ravaged the country have caused component manufacturers to restrict their production and supply.
Factories had to be closed down for some time and production of spares has only just commenced in full swing. The company expects production to be stabilized soon and production will also commence at full capacity. Honda Siel Cars India will also be launching City during the month of January and bookings and deliveries will soon follow.
