Hyundai aims at over 700,000 sales in U.S in 2012

To achieve this target, Hyundai is planning aggressive sales, marketing and advertising strategies. Part of its ambitious plan also includes setting up production facilities and increasing the workforce in already existing plants to increase unit output. Chung Mong-joon, Chairman Hyundai has made it clear that focus on quality and global production will be key are key areas.
Hyundai’s North American Operations Head John Krafcik has announced that it is well within the company’s capacity to deliver more than what’s expected. For 2011, in U.S., Hyundai sold 645,691 units which was a 20 % rise compared to the previous year. Hyundai wants to hit big vehicles sales in 2012. With competition getting fiercer in the U.S. auto market, one wonders how thing’s will shape up for the Korean car maker.
