Save for the new name, Creta hardly features any noticeable visual changes compared to its Chinese counterpart. With foglamps, alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights, the car spotted appears to be of top-end variant. India-spec car can be identified by means three-slat chrome grille. Creta also sports quintessential crossover elements like silver skid plates, black lower body cladding, silver roof rails and pseudo air intakes on rear bumper.

A chrome highlight for the license plate holder is an India-specific element.

Interior adopts dual-tone black and beige interior color theme but design is identical to that of ix25. While the crossover gets a comprehensive infotainment system replete with multifunction steering wheel, it remains to be seen whether the screen is touch sensitive or not. Centre console and door pads have good storage spaces.

Hyundai Creta would derive its powertrain lineup from Verna 4S which means you can expect 1.4- and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines with manual and automatic transmission options.

The car gets five twin-spoke alloy wheels.

With a heavy localization of above 90%, Hyundai is expected to make Creta highly competitive by matching its rivals in terms of price. We estimate it to retail between INR 8 – 11.5 lakhs with numerous variants.

Just like ix25, the Creta also gets vertical air vents and a touchscreen display screen on the centre console. Apart from manual gearbox, the Creta will also be offered with an automatic gearbox. The rear design does remind of the new Elite i20. The boot lid design, the roof spoiler are very much like the i20. There will be plenty of chrome on offer with the top-end variant; tail light, rear reflector, fog lights, and window frame enclosed in chrome strip.
