It seems the fight at the top is getting tougher by the day. Country's top2 car manufacturers, Maruti and Hyundai respectively are fighting it out eye to eye. Maruti Suzuki India revealed their RIII MPV at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010, and lo, Hyundai is out with a sketch of their own MPV, the ix20.
The Korean car major will develop the ix20 to fit in the B-segment of the Indian car market. Hyundai will put in more space in ix20 and still the car will not be far from a hatchback. Hyundai will reveal ix20 at Paris Motor Show which will start from 30th September.
Though Hyundai has branded ix20 as an MPV, the name suggests it to be a hybrid variant of their hatchback i20. The car is the latest product wherein Hyundai have applied their Fluidic Sculpture technology to give the vehicle an aerodynamic shape.
ix20 is a product of Hyundai's R&D based in Russelsheim, Germany. We expect Hyundai to launch ix20 later this year.
