Hyundai Elantra revealed in a sportier avatar at 2012 Thai Motor Expo

At the 2012 Thailand Southern Motor Expo, South Korean car maker, Hyundai has revealed their luxury sedan, Elantra in a sportier avatar. The Elantra at the Thai Expo has new bumpers, bumper extensions (front and rear), all new rear wing, plastic bling on wheels, sportier gear knob, metal pedals dual tone sport seats and much more, which you can see for yourself at the images below.

We are not sure if the Hyundai Elantra here has any updates under the hood. But from the looks of it, Hyundai seems to have tuned the engine, so this Elantra sport sedan does’nt disappoint on road. Hyundai Thailand did not reveal anything, apart from displaying the car in flesh. We are not sure if this will ever be launched, or was it just an eye candy at the 2012 Thai Motor Expo.

Hyundai India launched new Elantra in August 2012, at a starting price of Rs 12.51 lakhs and Rs 12.91 lakhs, for petrol and diesel options respectively. In the Indian auto industry, Elantra (642) has become the bestseller in the segment and beaten Toyoto Corolla Altis (402) and Chevrolet Cruze (320). Figures in the bracket indicate last four month average sales in India.
