Hyundai i10 1.2l Kappa2 and Auto no more: Mobile App for car service launched
Hyundai India will stop selling i10 with 1.2 liter Kappa 2 petrol engine, and one’s with automatic gearbox. This will result in the Sportz and Astra variants of i10 also coming to a halt which means that only the 1.1 liter four cylinder iRDE engine and only 3 variants of the i10 will be on offer.
Following this decision to discontinue the 1.2L Kappa2 i10 and i10 Automatic engines, Hyundai i10 will be sold in D-Lite, Era and Magna variants each of which will be powered by a 1.1 liter iRDE engine, reveals Overdrive. It is also expected that the company will soon be launching the Grand i10 with an automatic transmission which is being eagerly awaited by anxious buyers.
Speaking about their new service app, Hyundai says, “the Hyundai Care service mobile application will be available on Android and iOS platform for Hyundai customers. The mobile application will assist the customers with all forms of service support, service network, car service calculator and service appointment etc. The multifaceted Hyundai Care application can be downloaded from Google Play Store and subsequently from Apple iTunes store.”

New Delhi, September 26, 2013: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), country’s largest passenger car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer, today launched the industry first integrated service mobile application ‘Hyundai Care’.
The application provides users an experience to enjoy the services offered by Hyundai and with the click of a single button the enhanced selection process takes over. This GPS enabled application also facilitates user an effortless pan India dealer search on a real time basis. Innovative features like GPS enabled trip meter, reviewing vehicle service history, labor charges, insurance calculator, timely service reminder & offering notifications etc. will be a part of this application. Also, the application facilitates HMIL customers to connect 24×7 with Hyundai emergency service or road side assistance.
Commenting on the launch of the Hyundai Care, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. Vice President Sales & Marketing, HMIL said, “We have developed Hyundai Care service mobile app to provide features that give real- time benefits to the customer. We feel the Hyundai Care application will allow them to experience Hyundai services in a digitize and exciting new platform.
