Selling over 1.49 lac units in the fiscal year 2009-10, i10 has broken all previous records for a petrol car with 1.0L engine capacity. Hyundai i10s new 1.2L Kappa engine has made the car more fuel efficient.
Amit Saxena, Hyundai Director, was excited about the achievement and promised to keep giving customers better cars, with even better fuel efficiency. He also added that i10's India launch was a turning point as sales figures increased enormously in India as well as abroad. The consequent BSIV compliant car model has further supported this growth graph.
