The Uber looking hatchback launched by Hyundai Motors earlier this year has all the requisites of a next generation vehicle. It is available in 12 variants, offered in both petrol and diesel options and is reasonably priced between Rs.4.73 lakhs and Rs.6.65 lakhs for petrol options and between Rs.5.96 lakhs to Rs.7.44 lakhs for its diesel counterparts. However one thing missing that though seen in the model being tested prior to launch, was not offered on the production model, was its daytime running lights which caused much dismay among Indian buyers.

Now, at an additional cost of Rs.9,990, Hyundai has added this feature to i20 in India and is being offered on top end i20 Sport and i20 Asta versions only. LED daytime running lights are most sought after and hence the company has decided to add on this feature following increased demand. Most vehicles in this price range do not come with daytime running lights and are seen more in the luxury sedans making most buyers resort to aftermarket fitments which are priced at Rs.4,000 and above.

This new addition is well time and is being introduced ahead of the festive season in India. Hyundai i20 becomes the first car to get daytime running lights in the hatchback segment which adds to the vehicles outwardly appearance and makes it more sporty.
