Hyundai i20 WRC goes to France and Spain for motorsport testing
Hyundai Motorsport resumed 20 WRC testing after a short break in early September. Development of the Hyundai i20 WRC continued in latter half of September with the team returning to the tarmac for a 3-day test session in France, and then a week of testing on gravel at high-altitude in south of Spain.
The current test car is similar in specification to the one used in Finland in August but features new elements. Success in high altitude testing will make all teh difference in Mexico where the stages go up to 2,500 metres above sea level. The last few months have been slotted with testing every 2 weeks across varied conditions and surfaces to collect feedback and data, which is being reviewed and evaluated continually.
