Hyundai reveals interior of 2015 Sonata in a new sketch
2015 Hyundai Sonata set to debut in South Korea by end of the month after which it will head to the New York International Auto Show for a global debut. After revealing the exterior design in a teaser last week, Hyundai has now revealed the interiors of new Sonata via a new sketch.
From the interior sketch, one can notice that the 2015 Hyundai Sonata features redesigned dashboard. It gets intuitive Human Machine Interface (HMI) with a higher mounted infotainment screen so as to reduce driving distractions while safety features abound with a total of 7 airbags. Hyundau did not reveal anything else, apart from saying “receiving pre-orders for its symbolic midsize sedan in Korea on March 5″.
“New Sonata also features 1 redesigned chassis for better occupant protection in the event of crash is also evident. Exteriors of the 2015 Hyundai Sonata see a central stack, door panels and HVAC vents as seen on board the 2015 Genesis claiming 40% improvement in torsion and bending stiffness.
The next generation Sonata could use the current car’s platform while significant changes will be seen under the hood as Hyundai could introduce an all turbocharged engine lineup with Veloster Turbo 1.6 liter four cylinder taking the place of the current 2.4 liter four cylinder base engine. More information will be revealed once the car is revealed in South Korea.
