Hyundai Xcent launched in Nepal, Elite i20 next?

Hyundai Xcent compact sedan is launched in Nepal by Hyundai’s sole distributor there, Laxmi InterContinental Pvt. Ltd.

Hyundai Xcent NepalLooks and features of Hyundai Xcent launched in Nepal are the same as in Indian market. The compact sedan is manufactured in Chennai plant and transported there.

Only petrol model of Xcent is offered in Nepal, with same 1.2 litre Kappa Dual VTVT engine in Indian version. The all-aluminium petrol engine produces 83 PS max. power @ 6,000 rpm and 11.6 kgm (113.7 Nm) peak torque @ 4,000 rpm, and is mated to 5 speed manual transmission. It is unclear if 4 speed automatic variant will reach Nepalese market later. ARAI certified mileage of Hyundai Xcent petrol is 19.1 kmpl.

Hyundai Xcent Nepal-008 redHyundai Xcent is offered in 6 colours and three variants, Base, S and SX (O). Price of Hyundai Xcent Base variant is 24,96,000 Nepalese rupees (Rs. 15.58 lakhs approx), that of mid level S variant is 27,96,000 Nepalese rupees (Rs. 17.45 lakhs approx.) and price of top end SX (O) is 31,96,000 Nepalese rupees (Rs. 19.95 lakhs approx.).

Exteriors of Hyundai Xcent carry swept back headlamps, wrap-around tail lamps with chrome trims, chrome finished hexagonal air dam, front bumper with integrated spoiler design, dual tone rear bumper with reflectors, diamond cut alloy wheels, chrome door handles, trunk lid with chrome garnish and LED high mount stop lamp.

Hyundai Xcent Nepal-009 whiteInterior of Nepalese Hyundai Xcent gets dual tone beige and black theme, leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrap gear shift knob with chrome insert, audio player with 1 GB internal memory, multiple storage options in door trims and centre console, contoured seats, centre arm rest for rear seat occupants, rear AC vents, smart key with push button start, rear parking camera and sensors, 15” Diamond cut alloy wheels, auto folding mirrors, electro-chromic Inside Rear View Mirror (IRVM) with reverse camera display and one touch electric trunk opening.

Given that Hyundai takes all their cars launched in India to Nepal, will new Elite i20 be next and soon?
