Isuzu D-Max pick-up gains traction in Indian reefer segment

Isuzu Motors India delivered 4 new Isuzu D-Max vehicles to Gati Kausar. Takashi Miyachi, VP, Sales and Marketing handed over three D-Max Single Cab and a Space Cab vehicle to Sanjeev Jain, Director – Finance, Gati Limited, at the vehicle delivery ceremony in Hyderabad.

Isuzu is focused on significantly increasing its presence in the Indian market. The D-Max pick-ups are well suited for Indian usage patterns and conditions. D-Max is gaining traction in the Indian reefer segment owing to in-built features that support application needs.

The D-max range is versatile and adding it in Gati’s existing reefer trucks fleet adds strength to the fleet and supports Gati Kausar’s customer commitment. Its expanding fleet of over 200 refrigerated vehicles look at consolidation through introduction of modern and premium Pick-Up trucks. Isuzu D-Max fulfils a higher productivity need and comes with features that make it ready for adaption to Cold Chain industry and Indian reefer segment needs.

The award winning Isuzu D-Max is powered by a muscular 2499cc, 4-cylinder intercooled turbocharged diesel engine, mated to an efficient 5-speed manual transmission. It has a heavy-duty chassis, a large cargo bed to accommodate a refrigerated container and its body structure is made from high-tensile steel. It sports a bold and aggressive look on the outside and sophisticated, passenger-vehicle like interiors, making it a pride for the owner. D-Max Space Cab has an extended cabin space of 1.5 feet behind the driver seat for added storage. Isuzu Motors India confirms over 50 D-Max pick-ups sold in the last 4 months to refrigerated application customers.
