Indian vehicles with tinted glass challaned by Police. The police are now taking action on all vehicle including buses, cars, goods carriers and cluster buses sporting such opaque glasses and a fine is being imposed on defaulters.
Following Supreme Court directives, a result of the gang rape in a Delhi bus on December 16, 2012, the Delhi Traffic Police have stepped up their vigil. Buses with tinted glasses, black films and curtains are being fined with over 500 buses being booked in the past 25 days.
It was in April 2011 that the Supreme Court had banned the use of black films, tinted glasses and curtains on all vehicles in the country. The police are now taking action on all vehicle including buses, cars, goods carriers and cluster buses sporting such opaque glasses and a fine is being imposed on defaulters. Although, it seems to be a small step it would help in keeping a check on incidents of robbery and sexual assault.
