Indore iBus BRT growth story with AICTSL and EMBARQ India, 100 days and counting
It was in April this year that the new Bus Rapid Transit system called iBus was launched in Indore. Since the past few months this mode of transport has proved itself as a safe, reliable and convenient facility and today carries over 23,000 passengers per day.
As on date a total of 13 buses run along the cities arterial roads from 7.00 am to 11.00 pm. Travelling by these buses is considered highly affordable as a travel distance upto 2 kms will cost INR 5.00 while upto 8 kms will cost passengers INR 10.00 while above 8 kms will cost INR 15.00.
Atal Indore City Transport Services Limited (AICTSL) worked in close association with both public and private agencies which includes EMBARQ India. It is through these combined efforts that they were able to bring this BRT project to completion.
