With the launch of Iron Man 3, Marvel Entertainment has teamed up with Harley Davidson to bring out an exciting new contest that showcases the spirit of mutiny and muscle of the Harley. Fans are invited to enter the Man & Machine contest online by selecting a custom Harley Davidson bike and creating a special character to be a member of this riding group called Road Force.
A similar contest was held last year wherein Sean Threadgill won his own 2013 Harley Davidson Dyna Street Bob motorcycle by contesting in the Avengers Assemble Your Freedom contest, and was handed over his bike keys on April 24th at the Iron Man 3 world premier. Participants of this year’s contest are encouraged to log on, create a profile, write a story and choose an apt bike from among a gallery of Harley Davidson’s which best suits the character. Contest is open through the month of May 2013.
Of all participants contesting, a total of five winners will be chosen to be part of Iron Man comic. They will be honored with their own caricatures being incorporated into the comic series with the Harley bike in tow. The winners will also be honored with a VIP trip to Comic Con International at San Diego which is being held from July 18th to 21st 2013 where they will be able to witness Road Force characters while a grand prize winner will receive a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Dino Bernacchi said “Iron Man, one of Marvel’s most iconic creations, truly embodies the rebellious attitude and power of Harley-Davidson,” “Partnering with Marvel for ‘Iron Man 3′ continues our tradition of crowd-sourcing, fan-driven content. In 2012, Marvel fans proved their creativity with our first co-created Avengers comic. Now, we’re raising the stakes by unveiling the winners on one of the world’s largest stages–San Diego Comic Con.”
