Is this Audi Q4 SUV, rivalling BMW X4?

Audi has released sketches of a sleek crossover concept rumored to be the new Q4 SUV ahead of its official debut at 2014 Beijing Auto Show later this month. The sketches speak of an aggressively styled crossover while a host of exterior and interior features which have also been revealed.

If these sketches are of the new Audi Q4 crossover, it means that the likes of Porsche Macan, BMW X4 and Range Rover Evoque have a keen contender in the making. The official sketches disclose Audi’s new design language which was also seen on the Audi Shooting Brake Concept previewed at Detroit Motor Show earlier this year. One major difference is that the crossover being unveiled in Beijing will be a five door model catering to the demands of Asian buyers while the Shooting Brake Concept is a three door variant.

With aggressive styling, the upcoming crossover was noted to have a high shoulder line and massive front grille along with a pair of LED headlights. It was also seen to sport flared air intakes, a clamshell bonnet and sloping roofline along with muscular wheel arches. Interiors are similar to that seen on the Audi TT and Shooting Brake Concept.

Audi’s upcoming crossover will be seen at the Beijing Auto Show along with a host of concepts from other luxury automakers. Nissan will be showcasing a new sedan concept while Lexus will disclose their production NX crossover along with Citroen who will be showcasing a sports sedan concept.
