Isuzu Motors India production plant investment Rs 3000 crore

Isuzu’s own manufacturing plant is likely to be operational by 2015-16 at a total investment of Rs. 3000 crores for this plant with production capacity of 1,00,000 to 1,20,000 units once fully operational.


Isuzu Motors India will aim at 70% localisation initially with localized manufacturing to begin at Sri City by 2016. Today’s locally manufactured Isuzu MU-7 launch embodies the company’s diesel-engine expertise and offers superior fuel efficiency and high engine performance. Isuzu MU-7 SUV is available at a price of Rs 22.3 lakh for the locally built unit and for Rs 22 lakh for the BS3 variant. Both prices are ex-showroom Chennai
