Jaguar C Type at 2013 India Cartier ‘Travel with Style’ Concours d ‘Elegance

Jaguar C Type was on display at the 2013 Cartier ‘Travel with Style’ Concours d ‘Elegance held on the 9th and 10th February 2013, and was the showstealer at the Jaguar Couture Evening. Held at the Taj Land’s End in Mumbai, the vehicle was among a host of other antique vehicles which mesmerized the vintage aficionados visiting the show. Prior to that, the iconic evehicle was on display at the Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Worli, from 2nd to 7th February.

Le Mans winning Jaguar C Type race car was star of the event as it rubbed shoulders with a 1934 Rolls Royce Phantom II and a 1936 Adler Trumpf Junior Sport Roadster. The Jaguar C Type is the same vehicle in which Sir Stirling Moss was victorious at the 1952 Reims Grand Prix while it also participated in the 1952 Monaco GP. Besides showcasing the Jaguar C Type over the past weekend, Jaguar has also announced that the company is getting set to launch their F Type sports car in India y by end of this year.

While C Type is powered by a 3.4 liter straight six engine offering 200 bhp and 300 Nm torque, F Type is to be released in three trims. F Type, F Type S and F Type V8S. These will be fitted with a 3.0 liter V6 engine, a supercharged 3.0 liter V6 engine and a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 engine. The car had 2 Le Mans victories and bought focus to disc brakes.
