Dubbed as C-X17, the Crossover Concept is based on a design study to bring to the fore Jaguar’s new modular aluminum architecture. Earlier, Jaguar had teased the very same car. The revealed sketch is vague and was released prior to the show (see below). CarScoops reader has revealed the image above. The image shows Jaguar C-X17 crossover to have flowing fenders and slim rear tail lights that are also seen in the F-Type Roadster. It is also expected that the Jaguar C-X17 will be offered in a choice of front and all wheel drive once officially launched.
Jaguar and Land Rover are updating their range with the new modular aluminum platforms. This is seen in the recently introduced Land Rover Range Rover Sport model wherein weight saving due to this aluminum intensive platform has resulted in the model being 800 lbs lighter as compared to its earlier generation model. More information will be revealed once the car premieres in Frankfurt next week.
