Jaguar Land Rover sales up 25% in November 2013

Tata Motors owned Jaguar Land Rover has reported extensive global sales for the month of November 2013, despite a universal negative sentiment. During the past month, the company sold a total of 37,403 units resulting in a 25% increase in global sales as compared to same period last year.

November sales for Jaguar Land Rover in China increased 42%, while sales in North America were up 37%. Sales across Asia Pacific were also positive with a 32% increase in sales while the company received boost in sales across overseas markets as well. YTD Sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the period January to November 2013 increased 19% as it stood at 384,339 vehicles.

Jaguar sales totaled 6,244 units, up 55% in November 2013. Extensive demand was seen for the XJ and XF variants which increased 62% and 39% respectively. YTD sales of Jaguar stood at 69,655 units, up 42% in major regions.

Taking sales of Land Rover into account, November 2013 sales stood at 31,159 units, up 20% in the month. All models performed well and Defender sales were up 27% followed by Evoque sales which increased 10% during the month. YTD sales of Land Rover were up 14% as the company sold a total of 314,684 vehicles during the period.

Commenting on the November performance Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director said: “November has been another solid month in what has so far, been a great year for Jaguar Land Rover. Our continued sales success is a testament to our sustained investment in new and exciting products which are driving growth internationally and attracting new customers to our brands”.
