No doubt, the England test team is “gutted” but were “working harder than ever to put things right” at this years Ashes series loss in Australia after losing the 3rd Test in Perth on Sunday by 112 runs.
“We haven’t played our best cricket and have paid the price. We’re hurting really badly but there are still two tests to go in this series and it’s important we continue to improve and come away from this series with a 3-2 score line. We know we’re capable of winning in Melbourne and Sydney despite the form we’ve show.”
He added “It’s important we have some down time and take our minds off cricket for a while so we can come back fresh on Boxing Day.”
