Jaguar Land Rover India has revealed that their flagship luxury sedan, the XJ has seen a 300% boost in sales ever since local production commenced in June 2014. Before June 2014, Jaguar XJ was sold as a CBU, which attracted a higher import duty. But post June 2014, local assembly resulted in a substantial reduction of price.
Today, Jaguar XJ is offered in three variants in India. Priced at INR 97.22 lakhs is the Portfolio trim with a 2.0 liter petrol engine. Priced at INR 96.05 lakhs is the Premium Luxury trim powered by a 3.0 liter diesel engine while the top of the line Portfolio with a 3.0 liter diesel engine is priced at INR 1.03 crores. Each of these Jaguar XJ variants is on offer at the 21 company dealerships located all across the country.
Jaguar XJ boasts of offering amongst the best in class comfort and safety features; which include rear seat comfort pack with three massage seat functions, a rear business table, electric rear side window blinds and increased leg and head room. LED reading lights and 25.9cm rear infotainment screens are also a part of its package.

Jaguar XJ Premium trim receives 18” alloy wheels while interiors sport soft grain leather seats. It also receives Jaguar Smart Key System with keyless entry and Meridian Audio System with 14 speakers. The Portfolio variant gets 19” Toba alloy wheels and soft grain leather seats which can be ventilated, heated and cooled.
A Meridian 825W Surround Sound System with 20 speakers and CD function is also offered while lighting is in the form of HID Xenon headlamps with Adaptive Front Lighting, cornering lamps and intelligent high beam.
