Jeep, Chevrolet Sail sedan India, Find New Roads, and DEXRON whir

Jeep has recorded their best global sales till date having sold 701,626 vehicles for the year equating to 19% sales increase. Volumes surpass 1999 sales of 675,494 vehicles. At NAIAS in Detroit, the company unveiled the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV, Cherokee SRT, Compass, and Patriot. Jeep vehicles will be launched in India towards the end of 2013. Fiat India will launch Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee in India by 2013 end. Test vehicles have already arrived at the Pune Ranjangaon plant.

For 2012, United States was Chevrolet‘s largest individual market for Chevrolet with 1.85 million vehicle sales accounting for upward of 60% of global sales. Importantly BRIC auto markets have upped the ante with total sales of 643,000 vehicles in Brazil, 627,000 cars sold in China, 205,000 automobiles sold in Russia, and 125,000 vehicles sold in South Korea. In the Indian auto market, total sales for 2012 account for 92,000 Chevrolet vehicles, which ranks India amongst the top 10 Chevrolet sales markets globally. General Motors India’s, new Chevrolet Sail sedan launch in the Indian auto market could be as early as the first week of February.

As Chevrolet continues to Find New Roads, GM will hire about 1,000 high-tech workers amongst software developers, project managers, software developers, business analysts and other IT professionals for their Information Technology Innovation Center near Atlanta. GM is also expanding their DEXRON driveline lubricant products to protect the group’s GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac vehicles.

DEXRON products now include AT and MT fluid, gear oil, hydraulic, power steering, and traction drive fluid. Automatic and manual transmission fluids work on rust, oxidation, and corrosion protection, anti-wear, and improve fluid stability. AT fluid options include Standard DEXRON VI and DEXRON HP for high performance engines. Gear oils include GO 75W90 and GO LS 75W90. There are also DEXRON Power Steering and Traction Drive fluids.
