These two initiatives included “Step Up To Red” and get “Famous For A Weekend” giving fans a unique opportunity to get up close to meeting Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 driver and 2009 Formula One World Champion, Jenson Button.
The winner of ‘Famous for a Weekend’ received an all expenses paid trip to Delhi besides his name is on the helmet visor to be worn by Button during the Abu Dhabi race this coming weekend.

Johnnie Walker Red Label, the pioneer blend from the House of Walker, offered consumers a unique experience through its ‘Step Up To Red’ campaign that invited them to get up close and personal with icons of the sport.
The ‘Step Up To Red’ contest gave millions of fans around the country a chance to meet and interact with the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team and win exciting Johnnie Walker merchandise. The official Step Up To Red Facebook app called for answers to two simple questions that decided the five champions who would live their dream of meeting Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 driver and 2009 Formula One World Champion, Jenson Button, 50 contestants got a chance to own personalized number plates signed by double Formula One World Champion – Mika Hakkinen.
But, that’s not all.
As the grand prize, one lucky consumer today will get the chance to be truly ‘Famous for a Weekend’. The winner will get an all-expense paid trip to Delhi to meet the racing sensation and get his name printed on the helmet visor that Jenson will wear during the Abu Dhabi race weekend later this month.
Jenson will also be racing for the first time in front of the famous Striding Man around the Buddh International Circuit as Johnnie Walker has extended its track signage programme to include this iconic race, alongside Monaco, Singapore and Brazil.
