Jeremy Clarkson and gang start first episode filming for Amazon Prime

Tweeting pictures of their first day of work, Top Gear trio are back filming for a new and yet to be named show with LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder – the holy trinity. The pictures posted do not give a clear idea of location and while some suggest Nurburgring in Germany, others guess it is Autódromo Internacional do Algarve circuit in Portugal.

Jeremy Clarkson and his buddies Richard Hammond and James May are working on this new show which could go by the name “Gear Knobs”. The first episode of the maiden season is expected to be released in next fall. This premiere episode consisting of the LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder was actually scheduled for Top Gear. However, while Porsche agreed to allow the Stig to test its product on Top Gear track, Ferrari and McLaren reportedly denied permission. Now with the new show under progress, these three hypercars will be put to test by three of the world’s most popular car nuts.

Clarkson also uploaded a photo of what appears to be one of the worn out tyres post the shoot.

Set to commence from next fall, the new show will consist of 12 episodes per season while a 36 episode, 3 season $250 million deal has been signed between the trio and Amazon for Prime online service.

It may be recalled that Jeremy Clarkson left BBC’s Top Gear following a ‘fracas’ with a colleague during filming of an episode while Hammond and May also left soon after in support of their team member.
