Karun Chandok has been selected as the official driver for the Hispanic Racing F1 Team (HRT). They were previously known as Campos Racing. His season begins in Spain this year. Karun partners Bruno Senna and the 2 have been acquainted earlier during the 2008 GP2 season. His official team inclusion will take place during the Murcia unveiling wherein they’ll even discuss the teams new identity and 2010 plans.

Karun Chandok was born in Chennai and began racing back in 2000 and got associated with GP2 in 2007. He performed well and was noticed by F1 circuit teams. In 2008, he claimed the coveted ‘Best Driving Style’ title. He is only the 2nd Indian driver to race in F1, the 1st being Narain Karthikeyan who was at the wheels for a season, 5 years back with Jordan.
