KTM 390 Adventure will be based on 390 Duke platform while it will share other design elements with the larger 1190 Adventure. It will borrow engine from the 390 Duke to include the same 375cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine producing 43 bhp peak power and 35 Nm peak torque mated to a 6 speed gearbox.

It will be seen with new wheels, tyres and retuned gearbox along with taller suspension, adjusted foot pegs and a larger fuel tank. Riding position is enhanced while exhausts are mounted to the side so as to improve ground clearance and allow for better off terrain riding.

Post the unveiling at EICMA, KTM 390 Adventure might be launched in India, by 2015. To be produced at the Bajaj plant in Chakan, Pune 390 Adventure will open a new segment for two wheeler enthusiasts in the country. And thanks to to local manufacture, KTM India will be able to keep pricing affordable and competitive.
