KTM Duke 390 ex-showroom price hiked by Rs 6,500

KTM Duke 390 was launched in June 2013 at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.80 lakh. Though that was an introductory price, a price hike was always on the anvil. Finally, Bajaj has announced a price hike on their new superbike. Price of Duke 390 is now increased by Rs 6,500, on the ex-showroom price.

KTM Duke 390 ex-showroom price hiked by Rs 6,500

The latest price hike takes the price of Duke 390 up to INR 1.865 lakh (ex showroom Pune). This is still much better, when we consider the price at what the competitors are offering their bikes. Apart from the price tag, what sets this bike apart from its competitors is the fact that it offers better performance not only when compared to bikes in its segment but also in bikes in an upper segment.

Many expected Bajaj to implement a heavy increase in price, but the company has managed to keep the price hike well below the Rs 10,000 mark, which is surely some good news for awaiting buyers. KTM 390 comes in with a 373.2cc engine offering 43.5 PS power and 35 Nm torque. It is currently being offered in a distinctive  Orange-White color scheme and though it will also be available in an Orange-Black combination from the coming year.

2014 will also see KTM expanding their lineup to include RC200 and RC390 which will be seen as the first fully faired sports bikes from the company in India. The Adventure range is also expected to be launched along with Duke 690 and Husqvarna by 2015.
