Italian sportscar manufacturer, Lamborghini is going to officially unveil roadster variant of their all new Aventador sportscar. Lamborghini officially unveiled the Aventador LP 700-4 sportscar in coupe format at last year's Geneva Motor Show and this year, Lamborghini will use the same platform, Geneva Motor Show, to officially unveil their Aventador roadster variant.
Lamborghini Aventador production began in 2011 and deliveries too commenced later same year. Just like its predecessor Murcielago (of which 4,099 units were built), Aventador too will have a limited number of units – 4,000 units. We are not sure as to how many Aventador's have been sold already, but if we are to guess, the number should be close to 1,000 units.
Lamborghini Aventador roadster will be powered by the same 6.5L V12 that powers its coupe variant, generating a maximum power of 690 bhp and maximum torque of 690 Nm. Dimensions too will remain same, expect weight to be reduced by a few pounds, thanks to no hard-top giving a better acceleration. Lamborghini Aventador roadster sales will began later this year.
