Bangalore is chosen for the company’s third sales centre, after Mumbai and Delhi, as the city hosts a substantial number of High Net Worth Individuals (HNI). Lamborghini Bengaluru is part of the hyper car maker’s strategy to cover regions in South India and improve their presence and reachability for service.

Mr. Winkelmann said during the inauguration that India holds a good potential, recognising which Lamborghini has rushed as one of the early entrants of super-luxury sports car marques to establish itself in the market.

New Lamborghini Bengaluru dealership was opened with the entire lineup of Raging Bull cars under the roof, which includes the Aventador line-up along with the newly launched Huracán LP 610-4. Lamborghini Aventador line-up comprises of Aventador Coupé LP 700-4 and Aventador Roadster LP 700-4.

Speaking about their sales in India, Lamborghini said they have sold 94 cars in India till date. Last year, 2013 was their best year as far as sales in India are concerned, as they sold 22 cars. Though is an important market, its getting difficult to match growth levels when compared to other markets. This is majorly because of the high import duty levied.

Lamborghini says they will be happy if the Indian government could bring back the taxation levels back to 2011 levels, when they were at 60% (today it ranges upto 167%). Lamborghini believes that if the duties are brought down, government will earn more, as the sales will surely increase, a win-win situation for all.
