UPDATE: While most were cued in on the Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour, the company did what no one expected at the gala dinner, after the tour. They unveiled the Lamborghini Ecosta / Egoista concept that had found no mention anywhere earlier. A flutter on Twitter from attendees brought our attention to¬†the¬†concept, that came as a surprise to all. Down to what it’s rightfully called. First understood to¬†be¬†the Ecosta, it really did have more with being a Egoista (yes, you heard right, an egotist with a single sit for the driver whose¬†head¬†is¬†up there).
Rather futuristic at first glance, the white hued concept had blazing red wheel alloys. Also, the vehicle seems to lack doors. In it’s place is an open top option, pretty much like you would see in a fighter plane, only it opens upward instead of¬†sliding¬†forward. There’s no doubt it’s a funky car, but¬†the¬†question¬†is¬†, is¬†that¬†all it is. A happy concept to commemorate the company 50th birthday.
Despite our uncertainty of what to expect, there’s no doubt that Lamborghini has surprised everyone. This could very well be headed to the museum already, or be¬†that¬†one special car¬†that¬†goes to a¬†special¬†buyer.¬†There’s¬†no official word from the company just as yet. Image¬†credit¬†courtesy
