Showcased earlier this year at 2014 Geneva Auto Show, Lamborghini Huracan is on a world tour across major cities. Gathering record number of bookings, the car has finally arrived in India. Codenamed LP 610-4, the new Lamborghini Huracan is expected to come at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 3-3.5 crores.
The Huracan is powered by a 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V-10 petrol engine as seen on the Gallardo. This engine is capable of 602 hp peak power at 8,250 rpm and 560 Nm peak torque at 6,500 rpm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph can be accomplished in 3.2 seconds and acceleration from 0 to 200 kmph is achieved in 9.9 seconds. Top speed is pegged at 325 kmph. Apart from this, the addition of electronically controlled all wheel drive system results in substantial increase in traction. This engine also gets direct and indirect injection and start/stop as standard. Lamborghini claims that the new Huracan is capable of fuel efficiency of 8 kmph but actual will be confirmed later.
Lamborghini Huracan comes in with a chassis made of both carbon fiber and aluminum. It is this combination that results in the super car having a total weight of 1,422 kgs. Weight distribution stands at 42:58 while carbon ceramic brakes, varying drive modes and magneto rheological damper control system for suspension are standard features to be seen on board the new Huracan once it launches in India in September.
