Lamborghini hosts India’s first Women Sports Car Drive

‘Super Sports Car drive for Women’ in India was held in Delhi and was flagged off by Armaan Ebrahim, Indian participant for Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, along with Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India

The all woman participation was headed by Sheetal Dugar, the first woman to own a Lamborghini in India while she has also won the super racing Club GT races held in Kolkata.

The ‘Super Sports Car drive for Women’ with Sheetal Dugar along with eight women from different walks of life got off to a flying start from the Shangri-La Hotel in Connaught Place, New Delhi and went on to Buddh International Circuit (BIC), in Greater Noida, traversing a distance of 45 kms. Woman drivers were offered a unique driving experience along the BIC and were guided by Armaan Ebrahim who also instructed them on the finer aspects of handling a Lamborghini on the race track.

Sheetal Dugar, the first Indian woman to own and drive a golden Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 coupe said it was the first time that she has been in an all woman drive. She regaled the initiatives taken by Lamborghini and the encouragement it would offer to women in the country to follow their passions in driving super sports cars.

The Italian automobile manufacturer seeks special emphasis on women entrepreneurs in the country who are emerging as future potential buyers. There has been an increase in the number of women buying sports cars today, while increased number of first generation entrepreneurs is also emerging as buyers of these lean machines in India.
