Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is now the parent company for all of Fiat’s subsidiaries, have unveiled their new sign board at Auburn Hills Head Quarters and announced their five year plan yesterday. Fiat – Chrysler merger was completed in January 21, 2014 and extensive growth plan among subsidiaries (Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ferrari and Ram) have been on works since then. Yesterday’s all-day event brought the five year plan to light, shows potential to get in the same league as Toyota Motor Corporation, Volkswagen Group and General Motors Company.
Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring first presented itself at the 2012 edition of Geneva Motor Show. One more such example is being displayed at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show dressed in Green, and accentuated with gold trimmings and wheels.
The release of the Alfa Romeo 4C marks a chance for this glamorous Italian brand to regain some of its former glory within Europe, and expand into the Asia-Pacific region and Indian market. The brand’s current offerings include a surprisingly practical hatchback in the Giulietta, and a Mito super-mini.
Alfa Romeo has declared that their new Alfa 4C will come in at a cost of € 60,000 and will be offered with 1750 TBI engine presenting 240 ph and 258 lb/ft torque. This Alfa 4C has dry weight of 895 kgs and power to weight ratio of less than 4 kgs/hp while its F1 inspired fibre monocoque weighs 65 kgs and will have twin clutch automated gearbox.
Mazda Motors and Fiat Group work together for Alfa Romeo Roadster. The production of this vehicle will commence at the company’s Hiroshima plant in Japan from 2015.
