Last week, General Motors India issued a statement that production of their utility vehicle Chevrolet Tavera BS III and the recently launched Sail diesel sedan have been put on hold though for limited period of time only. Suspension of production does not have any bearing on safety related issues.
General Motors will be offering remote unlocking of doors, activating of horn and lights and remote start on all new vehicles. Facilities will be offered through OnStar Remote Mobile App to be seen on 2014 Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC brands across 36 vehicles.
General Motors India sold a total of 8,500 units during the month of May 2013. This resulted in a sales increase to the tune of 39.82% as compared to just 6,079 units sold in May 2012. Model wise sales for the past month saw the company sell 1,506 units of Beat, 2,851 units of Sail, 2,177 units of Enjoy SUV and 1,475 units of Tavera.

General Motors have declared their Q1 2013 results.
