Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) reports monthly domestic sales of 16,758 units in August 2014 equating to 88% sales increase over 8,913 units sold in Aug ’13. Overall sales for the month stood at 17,218 units over 9469 units sold in Aug ’13.
Unveiled in China at the 2014 Chengdu Motor Show and expected to be launched by the end of 2014, XR-V is nothing but a Chinese version of Honda Vezel, or HR-V as it is known in Europe and the US.

Honda is said to be working on a new 1 liter petrol engine, which is being developed in Japan and slated to make its way in a new small car, which is scheduled for a launch in 2017. This new engine, boasting of unsurpassable fuel efficiency, will be offered as both turbocharged and naturally aspirated variants.
