J D Power Asia Pacific Study reveals new insight into China’s growing auto industry. The latest Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) reveals Audi as the top ranked among luxury car brands while Hyundai Motors and Citroen lead the chart in regular passenger car segment.
Renault-Nissan Alliance and Daimler AG have now announced joint development of premium compact vehicles and joint production in Mexico in expanding their cooperation. Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn and Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche announced the 50:50 JV earlier today.
Nissan’s rebadges are not new to China. The Leaf takes the same course as Nissan March which entered China as Venucia R30 and the Nissan Latio which was called Venucia R50, both named after the Roman goddess Venus. The new Venucia e30 now follows with Nissan gearing up to sell this new electric car in China from September 2014.
