Jaguar has revealed that they will unveil a new unique Design Study of their F-Type at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which starts later this week. In India, Jaguar launched F-Type yesterday, at a price of Rs 1.37 crores for V6 S and Rs 1.61 crores for V8 S. Here are some images from the event in Mumbai.
Tata Motors owned Jaguar Land Rover introduced their all new sportscar, F-Type in India for a starting price of Rs 1.37 crores, ex-showroom, Mumbai. The new Jaguar F-Type will be offered in India with two options, supercharged V8 S and supercharged V6 S, the entry level supercharged V6 is not on offer in India as of now, but will be introduced at a later stage. Price of V8 S is at Rs 1.61 crores, ex-Mumbai.
Jaguar F Type launch for India is scheduled for 8th July. Price will be indicated keeping in mind competition from Porsche 911, Boxster, and Cayman S. The sporting bloodline dates back to more than 75 years. To be available in two engine variants, the V6 gets power from a 3 litre V6 engine producing 380 PS and 460 Nm torque.
The Jaguar XF V6 S diesel model has been given a makeover by Germanyâ€™s Loder1899. They have worked on the 3.0 liter diesel engine which now has peak power of 310 PS as against earlier 275 PS while peak torque is now at 680 Nm as compared to 600 Nm mated to an eight speed auto transmission.
The Tata Motors offensive in India is hard to miss, but whether or not they achieve the sales volume growth intended is left to be seen. Not just it’s Indian arm, but Jaguar and Land Rover footprint in India too is increasing via local production, and launch of new cars.
Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar has been felicitated as Interior Designer of the Year in the Automotive Interiors Expo Awards. The British car designer has worked for Ford, Ghia, TWR and Aston Martin prior to joining Jaguar in 1999, and succeeded Geoff Lawson as Design Director at Jaguar. He has brought a new dawn at Jaguar design.

Jaguarâ€™s new F Type convertible is the hot property this year. It is now revealed that half of first yearâ€™s production for the F-Type has already been sold. This means, if you were planning to book one, you could expect a delivery no sooner than later this year.
