India is the base of action for Renault with the Chennai plant being able to manufacture products to help tract customers in the auto market. Renault and Nissan are working towards a 10% market share in the Indian auto industry by 2016.

Sales of passenger vehicles during the month of March 2013 stood at 12,347 units out of which sales of Nano, Indica and Indigo reached the 8,903 unit mark while sales of Sumo, Safari, Aria and Venture range stood at 3,444 units.
Hyundai India was once again caught testing their all new diesel hatchback for India. This new diesel Hyundai small car will be launched later this year. Once launched, the car in the images here, will be placed between i10 and i20.
March 2013 Toyota Motors India 7% sales growth, 11.7% decline in China. Exports during March 2013 stood at 1,691 units thereby taking total sales during March 2013 to 21,143 units.
Honda Amaze sedan is scheduled for official launch on April 11, 2013 at an expected price of INR 6 lakhs for base petrol and INR 7 lakhs for base diesel. Honda’s authorized dealers in India had begun accepting orders for Amaze sedan about a few weeks back, but nothing was officially stated from the mouth of Honda Cars India.
2013 Volkswagen Golf Mk7, which is the current holder of two of the world’s most prestigious car awards, was spotted testing in Pune, India recently. The seventh generation Golf was revealed in Berlin on 4th September 2012 and has managed to win several awards, including the best two, World Car of the Year and European Car of the Year for 2013.
Overall sales during March 2013 totaled 50,473 units for Yamaha Motor India as compared to March 2012 figures of 41,886 units registering a 20.5% overall sales growth.
