SsangYong Motor Company, the South Korean brand owned by India’s number one SUV makers, Mahindra & Mahindra, has announced their results for Q1 2013. The company declared net loss in operating profit, though sharply lowered over last year’s results. At the same time, the company also announced increase in sales.
Recently, Mahindra Reva launched their first electric vehicle e2o in India. It is now revealed that the utility vehicle maker is working on building an even bigger electric car. Though it is not revealed that this large vehicle will be an SUV or not, but it is confirmed that this bigger vehicle’s technology could also be used by SsangYong.
SsangYong LIV-1 Concept has been officially revealed at the 2013 Seoul International Motor Show, which went live earlier today. Along with it, SsangYong CEO, Lee Yoo-il also revealed the production plans of the LIV-1 concept.
Prior to its official unveiling at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show, SsangYong has released renderings of their new LIV-1 SUV concept. This new SUV will be showcased in flesh on March 28, 2013 for the first time.
Mahindra owned, SsangYong Motor Company, the fourth largest South Korean based automobile manufacturer, has brought with it the new SIV-1 concept to the Geneva Motor Show 2013. Atleast for now, it looks like a worthy EcoSport rival.

SsangYong have revealed the first official teaser of their new compact crossover, called SIV-1, where the SIV stands for Smart Interface Vehicle. Along with the SIV-1, Mahindra owned SsangYong will feature their 11 seater Korando Turismo at the upcoming 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
