Yamaha R25 finally saw some competition on a racing circuit, in the form of Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI. Indonesian motorcycle racer Nico Julian Chandra, who frequents Ninja 250 on track, was given the opportunity to ride R25 and Ninja 250 FI on Sentul International Circuit, Indonesia for a head on comparison.
Kawasaki Ninja 250 is one among competition agitated by Yamaha R25 launch in Indonesia. R25 has beaten segment rivals already on paper; booking is currently closed after recording 2,800 orders in 25 hours last month. Honda will respond to R25 threat with new Honda CBR 300R, global sales commencing in July 2015 starting with Australia, and US market in August.
Japanese motorcycle manufacturers, Kawasaki has launched the all-new Z250 SL street bike in Indonesia. SL here stands for Sport Lightweight. The new Z250 from Kawasaki is basically a naked version of the existing Ninja 250, and a little more sportier to look at as compared to the existing Z250. It is available in two trims – one without ABS, and the other with ABS.
611 units of Kawasaki off-road motorcycles have been recalled as its camshaft sprocket bolts can loosen and come off causing the engine to lock and stop bike, posing a crash hazard. The recall involves model year 2014 KLX110 and KLX110L off-road motorcycles. No incidents/injuries have been reported thus far.
