TVS is India’s fourth largest two wheeler manufacturer, after Hero, Honda and Bajaj. Last year, they announced a partnership with German motorcycle maker, BMW Motorrad, which would see them develop motorcycles in the 250-500 cc segment. It’s been more than a year since the announcement and still there has been no concrete information as to what the first motorcycle would be under this Indo-German umbrella.
As Mahindra forays into the electric scooter sector, they are readying GenZe, a single seater electric bike which will launch in USA sometime this year. A team at Palo Alto, California is currently in the process of completing this electric scooter which has been called GenZe.
It is without a doubt that the Pulsar is a very important brand for Bajaj. Together with KTM, Bajaj is making tremendous progress in the sub 500cc segment. It is now revealed, that to further strengthen their position, Bajaj is working on new engines and new platforms for their Pulsar range of motorcycles, which should be launched in the next two years.
Harley-Davidson and Marvel Entertainment are teaming up yet again in bringing fans of both brands together in seeking candidates to join Captain America as “Agent 1″, and star in a brand-new digital franchise. The new development introduces a new chapter of action to feature a group of characters created by Marvel’s Custom Division exclusively for Harley. Of course the new Harley-Davidson Street 750 will feature too. The mini-movie and digital comic debuts in Marvel and Harley-Davidson online and social channels this summer.
Its been over a year that Yamaha had revealed plans of setting-up a new plant in Pakistan. Now, more information has surfaced in this regard. Japanese two wheeler maker, Yamaha has chosen Karachi to setup a new plant at an investment of $150 million (PKR 1,441 crores or INR 903 crores).
Suzuka Racing Motorcycles have launched three bikes in the 225-250cc range in India. These are not street legal bikes and are to be used exclusively for sport. Suzuka Motorcycles range of dirt bikes in India include the SRM 250cc AC, SRM 250cc WC 2 valves, and SRM 250cc WC 4 valves.

A new motorcycle image has surfaced online, claiming to be that of Hero Sparkle, a new dirt bike which will be launched in India later this year. To be powered by an 80 cc engine, this new off-road bike (apparently) from Hero, delivers just 4.7 PS power and has a top speed of 104 kmph. It will be priced at about Rs 50k.
