A ban on motorcycle riding was levied in 2008 due to heightened Taliban activities in the Bajaur region. After about five years, this ban has been lifted in an announcement made by Brig. Ghulam Haidar, Sector Commander of Army in the region. An announcement was relayed on the security forces run FM radio channel Aman FM 88 last week.

Bajaj Auto, the second largest motorcycle manufacturer in the country, is facing a workers strike at their plant in Chakan, Pune. The strike enters it’s 15th day today, and seems to have no end as of now. The latest development, hearing of case at the Pune labour court is now to take place on 16th July.
