Looks like SX4 replacement Maruti Ciaz is not going to repeat the same story. In fact, Ciaz could even trump Honda City in C segment sedan space, as mileage of Maruti Ciaz diesel was just revealed to be higher than City’s, becoming most fuel efficient car in the country!

Tata Motors’ commercial and passenger vehicles sales inclusive of exports in August 2014 stand at 40,883 vehicles. Compared to 49,611 vehicles sold in August 2013, it equates to 18% sales decline. Tata commercial and passenger vehicle sales in India stand at 36,403 units in Aug ’14 equating to 19% decline compared to 44,717 units sold in August 2013.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited is on a roll. Sales through August 2014 stand at 110,776 units over 87323 units sold in August 2013 to report 26.9% sales increase.
Maruti Suzuki isn’t counting on its all permeating reputation in India for Ciaz’ launch. In a first, Maruti taps digital space potential with a whole new campaign revolving around #coolcatsintown. This apart, there’s also been its native advertising stint for Ciaz with a cat spotted driving a sedan.
Mercedes Benz India is adding another variant in E Class, E 350 CDI, which is scheduled on 11th of September 2014.
